May 29, 20265 min read

Some trips are about seeing new places. Others become shared experiences that people talk about long after they return home. For Arcanytes in the 5-Year Club this May, the recent jaunt to South Korea was definitely a shared adventure.

From May 16 to 18, the long-tenured team of Arcanytes traded their daily routines for a few unforgettable days in vibrant Seoul and neighboring districts. We experienced the local culture and food together, and along the way, had plenty of adventures exploring some of South Korea’s most iconic destinations.

A Journey Filled With Culture and Adventure

One of the highlights of the trip was visiting Gyeongbokgung Palace, where we embraced local culture by wearing traditional hanboks as we leisurely explored and snapped shots on its historic grounds.

"My daughter was so happy to be back in South Korea. She wanted to revisit the places she first saw in photos when she visited as a one-year-old and recreate some of the shots we took back then. Seeing those old memories come to life again was really special. We also had a lot of fun together on the Amazon River ride at Everland." — Normie

We also got the chance to snap some shots at the awe-inspiring Starfield Library. Feel like channeling your inner Belle, anyone? 😉

Between the colorful outfits, stunning architecture, and scenic backdrops, it quickly turned into a photo-filled experience that nobody wanted to end.

The adventure continued across several well-loved attractions in and around Seoul.

Arcanytes enjoyed thrilling rides and lively entertainment at Everland and took in panoramic city views from N Seoul Tower.

It was also quite an experience to actually witness firsthand the peaceful charm of Nami Island.

Of course, no visit to South Korea would feel complete without spending time on Hongdae Shopping Street and in the vibrant Gangnam District, where shopping and entertainment blend seamlessly into a lively urban experience.

"My favorite parts of the trip were the The Painters show and walking around the bustling streets of Myeongdong." — Milcah

Local Cuisine That Brought Everyone Together

Amid the packed itinerary and sightseeing, there was always room for one thing: Korean BBQ.

Whether it was sharing authentic jajangmyeon, bulgogi, or grilled meat, the dining experiences actually became some of the trip’s most delightful moments.

It was the perfect way for the team to unwind, connect, and fully enjoy the local culture.

Moments Worth Celebrating

Great workplaces are built not only through achievements, but also through shared memories and meaningful connections. That’s why this trip was more than just a reward for years of dedication. It was a celebration of the people who continue to help shape Arcanys through their hard work, loyalty, and teamwork.

This year’s 5-Year Club was especially exciting because the group has grown bigger than ever. Added to our numbers were not only new members but also their loved ones. Some even brought their entire family! How fun is that?!

From scenic views and unforgettable meals to endless photos and inside jokes, the South Korea trip gave everyone memories we’ll likely be talking about for years. More than that, it was another reminder that Arcanys is a place where people can build meaningful connections, discover new experiences, and create lasting memories together.

Now, we’re already looking forward to the next adventure and all the stories that will come with it.
