Arcanys at the 2014 Mobile World Congress

The Mobile World Congress is one of this year’s biggest tech events happening on February 24-27, 2014 at the Fira Gran Via in Barcelona, Spain. A few of its keynote speakers are Mark Zuckerberg – CEO and Founder of Facebook, Jan Koum – Cofounder and CEO of WhatsApp, Virginia M. Rometty – Chairman, President and CEO of IBM, and other highly notable tech gurus in the IT industry.

The MWC brings a global pool of mobile industry players with promising innovations that are conceivably the next big thing in mobile technology. One of which is the much buzzed open-source Tizen Mobile OS from Samsung, which will be unveiled at the event. The Tizen OS will rival the Android OS of Google and Apple’s iOS. This open-source OS is positioned to be used for high-end smartphones, making it one of the much-anticipated highlights for MWC.

Pioneering in Tizen Mobile App Development

In line with the Samsung Tizen platform, we at Arcanys have also rolled up our sleeves and developed 6 image processing camera applications built for the Tizen operating system. These mobile apps were among the first Tizen apps ever built in the world, making these developments a milestone for Arcanys. The successes in fulfilling these developments were results of the following factors:

1. Hiring the Right Team
   After getting the go signal to work on the project, in a span of 1 month, we hired Senior C++ Developers solely dedicated to the project. This ensured high-quality work which indeed paid off in the overall development of the apps.
   
   
2. Provider and Client Compatibility
   The presence of the Arcanys’ client in our Cebu office also made a huge impact in managing the overall project. With teamwork, utilizing the latest agile processes and real-time correspondence, allowed the team to finish the project in a record-breaking 4-month period. This goes to prove that a good working relationship between provider and client results into a match-made-in-outsourcing-heaven.

Arcanys to Present at World Mobile Congress 2014

Our proud contribution to the development of this mobile application is a good indicator that there is plenty of room for new players to break into the mobile app industry.
